Welcome to St. Bonaventure’s College

Welcome to the St. Bonaventure’s College website.  Our school was founded and administered since 1856 by the Franciscans, later the Irish Christian Brothers and now the Society of Jesus (The Jesuits).  The Jesuits are the largest teaching order in the Catholic Church running 2,123 pre-secondary schools, secondary schools, colleges and universities throughout the world.  As a member of the Jesuit School Network (JSN) we share the Ignatian Charism with 80 Canadian and U.S. schools.

Located in the historic heart of St. John’s, the oldest city in North America, we have ready access to major educational, social and cultural centers including the provincial archives, the provincial art gallery and museum all within two minutes of our location.  Our school campus is second to none in the city.

We are a warm and welcoming community of life long learners who strive for the MAGIS (the greater).
